Love Story

In August 2020, Melina and Drew met at Virginia Wesleyan University, instantly forming a deep connection. At the time, Drew was a senior, while Melina was just beginning her journey as a freshman. Throughout their time together, they have continuously encouraged one another to strive for excellence in every aspect of their lives and their bond has been instrumental in shaping who they are today.

As their relationship blossomed, they enjoyed a variety of shared experiences, from study dates and movie nights to lunch breaks and long walks. Over time, their relationship evolved, and they became each other's closest confidants, supporting one another through both of their most joyful and challenging moments.

Throughout the years, Melina and Drew have embarked on countless adventures together, celebrating each other’s significant achievements and providing comfort during difficult times. Each shared experience has been an incredible journey, and they eagerly look forward to making their lives together a lifelong one.

Their decision to have a destination wedding reflects their belief that their love embodies a never-ending adventure. They are confident that no matter what changes or obstacles life may present, they will always have each other, cherishing every moment together.

Portugal was chosen as the location for their wedding because to both Andrew and Melina, their families are very important, and they wanted to start their happily ever after by including Portuguese culture at the heart of it to represent both of their families becoming one. The Algarve region holds special significance for them, as it is a place they have visited together multiple times. Here, they feel at peace together and are able to focus on their relationship with no everyday distractions, all amid the country’s breathtaking views and exquisite cuisine.
